Job Duties
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the division’s strategic vision and business plan.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats to drive sustainable business growth.
- Lead the division in setting and achieving clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Sales and Marketing
- Oversee sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the division’s brand presence.
Product Development
- Drive innovation and lead new product development initiatives within the adhesives portfolio.
- Monitor industry developments and customer needs to ensure competitive product offerings.
- Manage the product life cycle and recommend enhancements based on market feedback.
Manufacturing and Operations
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet quality standards.
- Optimize supply chain and inventory management to fulfill customer demands.
- Continuously monitor and improve production quality, safety, and sustainability practices.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the division’s budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Implement cost-control measures and strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Report financial performance to the executive team and stakeholders, providing actionable insights.
Talent Development and Team Management
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the division.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the team meets its objectives and succeeds.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Proactively manage risks, addressing legal, environmental, or safety concerns effectively.
Stakeholder Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shareholders, board members, and external partners.
- Represent the division at industry events, conferences, and trade associations to enhance visibility and influence.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Lead efforts to drive continuous improvement across all areas of the division.
- Encourage and facilitate a culture of innovation to keep the division at the forefront of the industry.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, chemistry, etc.). An advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within the adhesives or related industry.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of the adhesives market, including competitors, trends, and customer needs.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, often for several hours at a desk or workstation.
- Frequent use of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Ability to handle documents, use office tools like staplers or hole punchers, and perform data entry tasks.
- Occasional reaching above or below shoulder height to access files, documents, or office supplies.
- Occasional walking within the office to attend meetings, retrieve documents, or collaborate with colleagues.
- Light lifting, usually up to 10-20 pounds, which may include carrying files, small office equipment, or supplies.
- Ability to view computer screens for extended periods.
