Strategic Sourcing Director:

 Sources, purchases and maintains effective inventory of materials needed to meet production demand. Currently responsible for resin, films, additives, colorants, and adhesives, as well as capital purchases which may include travel expenditures. Manages supplier relationships. Responsible for effective cost management in purchasing all items/services, as well as maintaining the specifications established for these items.

 Prefer a four-year degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Ops Management, Business, or related field; 7-10+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Manufacturing Manager- Southern California 

Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialty industrial products and adhesives. They are in need of an experienced Manufacturing or Plant Mgr , to be responsible for a manufacturing plant in in southern CA.  You will be responsible for
supervising up to 60 in production of laminating and die cut products.
The income or salary level will be commensurate with your experience, and includes a bonus.

Below is a brief job description for review:

Our client is a global organization with world- wide headquarters located overseas with four sites in the U.S. & Canada, manufacturing pressure sensitive adhesive coated products and die cut converted products serving the medical, industrial, consumer, emerging and transportation markets.
 
We have an opportunity for an experienced leader to oversee the manufacturing activities at the California location which services the medical and medical device markets. Manufacturing processes at this location include precision rotary die cutting, multi layer laminating, flex-o-graphic printing and packaging operations. This position will have responsibility for managing the press room and support functions encompassing a workforce of 60 employees. Key responsibilities include  defining  and establishing performance standards and improvement programs and processes for measuring these and leading LEAN and cost reduction programs.

 Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and statistical  skills, experience in medical device or similar regulated industry and  a proven record of delivering results in a volume high /job shop  manufacturing business.
